and families for only $20.00!


Why Support the Colt PTO?

All donations benefit the almost 600 students enrolled at Colt Elementary campus this fall.

As Colt has grown, the PTO has taken on more fund-raising projects in an effort to:

continue supplementing the school’s Activity Fund

purchase learning items for each grade level's use in the classrooms

support library book purchases

provide partial field trip costs for every child, and

sponsor teacher, staff and volunteer appreciation events.

In addition, we sponsor fun events providing an opportunity for students and parents to interact with teachers in a relaxed environment. Such events have included the Fall Literacy Festival – a true PTO collaboration where board members and teachers create Literature-themed games for the students. Prizes for winners are not toys or candy, but books!

During the last school year, the Colt PTO returned nearly $12,000 to benefit its students through projects listed above. Additionally, we were able to assist Colt families who lost family members or their homes, or had other hardships during the year.

Purchase an ad in our Monthly Newsletter, The HOOFBEAT HERELD. This Newsletter is sent home with all Colt students, teachers and staff. The newsletter is also displayed on our website.

All contributions are tax-deductible. Sponsorship levels are described above.

As you can imagine, our PTO projects require a lot of time, effort and money and there is not usually enough of any of these for everything we’d like to accomplish for our students. But, with the strong support of partners like you, we can keep our programs going strong and continue to explore new ways to enrich the educational experience for ALL of the students at Colt Elementary School.
